Frequently Asked Questions

01. Do you accept my insurance?

We are an out-of-network clinic and do not directly bill through insurance. Our patients pay us directly each visit for their 1-on-1, personalized physical therapy session. This allows us to focus all of our attention on the patient and perform treatments to focus on patient goals without being dictated by insurance rules and regulations.

02. What is the cost per session?

Our services range in pricing. Please contact us for more information.

03. Can I submit a claim to my insurance?

Yes! While we do collect our fees directly from our clients, we provide an itemized superbill to submit to your insurance company. By submitting your superbill you may be able to recover a percentage of the cost you pay upfront (typically 50-80%) from your insurance company, depending on your "out of network" coverage.

04. Can I pay with my HSA or FSA?

Yes!

05. What other types of payment do you accept?

We accept cash, checks and major credit and debit cards, in addition to FSA and HSA cards.

06. Why Cash-based physical therapy?

Insurance companies in the United States are continually cutting reimbursement rates for rehabilitation services and dictating how clinicians treat patients. With this decline in reimbursement, many clinics are forced to treat multiple patients in the hour (this means that therapists are seeing 4+ patients at the same time) and lower patient care standards in order to make ends meet. These clinics rotate patients in and use assistants and techs to complete treatments. Patients do not receive the individualized care they need, and are encouraged to go through exercises with little to no supervision. With a cash based practice, we are able to decide how we want to treat patients as we are not regulated by the insurance companies. This allows us to provide the highest quality care for our patients, while keeping them 1- on -1 with their doctor of physical therapy for the entire hour, every visit. This increase in quality results in our patients getting better, faster than traditional insurance based physical therapy. We typically see our patients only one time per week, saving you valuable time; meaning you aren’t leaving work early, commuting to and from the clinic, and spending an hour here 3 times each week.

07. What can I expect at my first visit?

During your first visit we will spend a bit of time talking about your current injuries, and goals and then jump right in to our evaluation. Please come prepared to move! Wearing loose fitting, workout type clothing is best. We have restrooms you can utilize to change into your clothes if needed. Please also try to wear clothes that will allow you to expose the body part you are coming for i.e. please wear shorts for hip or knee injuries. Ladies, if you are coming for any type of upper body treatment wearing a sports bra or tank top is best. Following your movement evaluation we will jump right into any necessary hands on treatment such as dry needling or soft tissue mobilization. Finally, we will review your custom home program. You will leave with an understanding of your injury, clear instructions on what to work on at home and your overall long term treatment plan.

08. How many visits will I need?

It depends on your specific injury and needs. At the end of your first session your Physical Therapist will lay out your indivdiualized plan of care which will include the number and freqency of visits. Most patients see us between 6-10 visits.
